Nick Stouros



Nick Stouros is a Kitchener, Ontario Native and is the Co-Founder of Spartan Academy, now the Spartan Lacrosse Academy. The program developed after Nick coordinated a series of Summer, Christmas and March Break Lacrosse Camps for Tri-City minor lacrosse players in 2012 with great success. The Academy also offered dryland training for Hockey, Baseball, Tennis and Lacrosse teams in the area. Prior to his work with Spartan, Nick served as the Office Manager for The Hill Academy, as well as heading up The Hill Apparel Program and overseeing The Hill Athletes in residence. Nick spent time on the Executive Board with the Beaches Minor Lacrosse Association and coached at the House League and Rep levels. During the Winter months, he held similar position with the Don Mills Flyers AAA Hockey Club. Nick also coached baseball at the House League and Rep Level before his son, Leo, was born, with the Leaside Baseball Association. Nick studied at Wilfrid Laurier University and played lacrosse growing up in the Kitchener-Waterloo Minor Lacrosse Association. He also played with the KW Braves Junior Lacrosse Club.

Leo Stouros

Leo Stouros is a resident of Kitchener, Ontario and a Co-Founder of the Spartan Lacrosse Academy. He attended The Hill Academy during High School before receiving a D1 Lacrosse Scholarship to Colgate University. During his High School years he played for the Six Nations Arrows in the OLA were he won Two Canadian championships as well as two defensive player of the year awards. He was also the Top Graduating Player his final year.  In 2012, Leo had the privilege to represent his country in the 2012 U19 Field Lacrosse World Championships in Turku, Finland. There Canada lost in the finals against the USA but Leo received All-World Honours for the Tournament. As a Colgate Raider, Leo was on the Patriot League Honour Roll and was a four-time Dean's List student. With the Raiders, Leo ended his four-year NCAA Division I career as a Senior Captain and was a key contributor to the team's NCAA tournament appearance in 2016. Leo currently plays with the Georgia Swarm in the National Lacrosse League who in 2017 were NLL Champions. When not playing, Leo dedicates his time to develop and nurture lacrosse in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. With the Kitchener-Waterloo Minor Lacrosse Association, he led the charge in the creation of the Minor Development Lacrosse League which will begin its inaugural season in April 2018. Leo is also currently a former Coach of the Wilfrid Laurier Men's Lacrosse Team which plays in the Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association.
